When my computer hard disk crashed, it really hit me hard because I lost all my daughter's precious new born photos. Then I told myself, I must print out all the photos just in case my hard disk crash again, at least I still have backup.

Then I came across EOE Online. The first thing grab my attention is they are having this promotion for 4R @ RM0.30 without processing fees. I been asking around few photo printing shop, none of it giving me a better deal than EOE Online. This is my family favorite restaurant when comes to fried bak go(白粿) or beh geh in Hokkien or rice cake in English and seaweed soup.

These are what we usually ordered except the pork rib porridge.

You can order the one with dark soya sauce and the one without. The one with dark soya sauce is definitely taste better.

Seaweed soup. Their version of seaweed soup is unlike others. It taste like shark fin soup because they put in crab meat and the texture is starchy. Serve well with black venegar.

Fried mee sua. Lots of white cabbage and the taste is very flavorsome.

Fried bee hoon.

Lastly, claypot pork ribs porridge. A little bit bland for me.

I've visited Canton-I twice since they opened their outlet at Mid Valley. Canton-I is at the same group as Dragon-I, but you will not expect the same thing at Canton-I. They offer high quality and pricey food.

You can see through the window what's happening in the kitchen. The concept just like Dragon-I. Check it out, they serve cuttlefish too. (photo curtesy: Yeo CP)

This Seven Belle tea is a must! The specialty about this tea is, you will see how the flower slowly grows in full bloom. RM 5

Ice Coffee. The aroma of coffee is very nice and exactly how I would a expect a coffee taste like.RM5.50

"Za Leong". This dish is very famous in Hong Kong dim sum. "Yau tiu" wrapped with "Cheong fun". RM7.80

Fried noodle with shredded pork. RM14

Wanton soup. You will expect a whole piece of shrimp in each wanton.

By the way, if you want to dip with any chilli paste, you have to request from them. They will not serve it on the table. RM11.80

My mom wanna go somewhere cozy and not so many people, so I suggest to go Eric Deli since I haven't been there for long time. I believe this restaurant is no stranger to most people. Yes, the owner is Eric Tsang, hong kong famous actor and MC. While walking towards the restaurant, the steam boat soup can be smelled. Too bad, we are not going for steamboat today.

Vegetarian pot. Fuk chuk, ginkgo,mushroom,cabbage and tung fun in "nam yu" paste. In deed this dish really open up the appetite even though it's cook without any meat.

Prawn Bean curd. The bean curb are super soft and nice to put into the mouth. This dish is recommended if you want to eat something plain yet mouth-watering.

Fish fried with onion ginger. I thought this is garoupa, then the captain told me is Toman fish. I've no idea what fish was it till i get back home and google search it. Eww, is snakehead fish. Comes to think about it, I want to puke even though during eating(before i know what was Toman fish) was nice.

Fried Sang Mee. Very tasteful .

Overall, I think the food is quite nice but a bit pricey, range from RM20 - RM25 per dish. I will definitely come back for the steam boat. Everyone is eating steam boat there.

I didnt know this restaurant exist until the other day I went to Holiday Villa to pay my cousin a visit. There's a big signboard right before Holiday Villa Hotel. The restaurant is not easy to find without all the little signboard that leads you to it. There's a paintball field beside the restaurant.

When you step in the entrance, all the live seafoods are welcoming you with big hand.

They serve Geoduck too! I haven't tried before but it looks a bit eerie.

Isn't it romantic? Sitting by the "pond" with the view overlooking the hotel and condos.

A must have when eating out with my dad. Fried Mee Sua. Lots of vegie makes the presentation very good. Indeed the taste is nice too.

Stir Fried "Nai Bak".

Stir fried Asparagus. As shown in the picture, the asparagus are big and fat.

Highly recommended dish. Roasted Chicken. The chicken skin is roasted to perfection. Not burn and yet crispy. The chicken meat is tender and juicy. Serve with sour plum sauce and pepper/salt. scrumptious!!

Tofu. Serve with a lot of gravy.

Ginger onion fish fillet. Ginger and onion taste is covering the fish. Not too oily and salty.

Teow chew steam fish. This dish is a bit dissapointing. It doesn't taste like how a teow chew steam fish should taste like. I can't tell what's wrong with it, I guess is the sour plum.

Steamed chicken. Best to eat with their ginger sauce.

Conclusion:
This place seems like more for tourist(those that stay near the hotel), however I think the price is reasonable. Will come back again for their seafood. Looks very tempting :)

This is a very backdated post. We were searching for restaurant which serves organic food during the Hari Raya day. Most of the restaurants were closed. This is one of the restaurant that open, so we gave it a try.

I like the design of the restaurant a lot. The lighting are very soothing and the wallpaper of all the colorful veggie really open ups your appetite.

Mom ordered beetroots juice. I personally don't really like the Beetroots taste. Beetroots can reduce the blood pressure. It also rich in antioxidants.

Rosemary tea. It is very much depending on individual taste bud. I found it taste really weird but my bro likes it. Rosemary for me is herbs that you put in your spaghetti.

This soup taste superb. It's the "yuk chuk" soup. I always thought soup must boiled with meat only taste good. This soup taste much better even without any meat.

Cabbage wrap. Too plain for me.

Vietnamese spring roll. I still prefer the authentic Vietnamese spring roll.

Pineapple fried rice. It suppose to come with the pineapple but they are running out of pineapple. The rice mix with tom yam paste to fried with.

Lotus leave rice.
Stir fried noodles. Plenty of vegie on top.

Clay pot.

The above 2 dishes look and taste the same. I can't really remember what we've ordered.

As a conclusion, I love the soup the best. The rest of the dish is plain for me. The presentation are all the same and same goes for the taste. Will I come back again? Yes, for the soup :)

J.O Restaurant

Whenever think of ordering dish in Subang Jaya area, J.O restaurant is the first came to my mind. I like this restaurant is because the service is fast, very clean, air-conditioned restaurant and not that noisy.

Papaya Pickles. Something nice to start off with, the papaya is very crunchy and not too spicy.

Homemade fish paste with Tofu. This is one of my favorite dish here. The tofu is very soft and smooth.

Steamed herbal kampung chicken. Kampung chicken cooked with wolfberry and ginger. I personally don't really like this dish as the chicken is too hard and too much ginger in it.

Stir fried baby potato leaves. It looks plain on photo but the taste is very good. The texture of the veggie is just right.

Steamed garoupa fish. Most important is the fish is very fresh.

Fried noodles. If you eat out with my family, we will always have one fried noodles as my dad is a noodles lover. As for this fried noodles, I would say is so so only.

I heard a lot about this restaurant and always wanted to try out.Got very lucky today for having free meal at Loon Sing Restaurant(One of the pretty colleague's treat). This restaurant is famous for their "Buddha Jumps Over the Wall". We left office at around 6.30pm and took us only around 45 minutes to reach there from KL.

Restaurant has a very big compound. Therefore plenty of parking lots. Great place for wedding. There are 2 buildings side by side. One is the restaurant and another is the conventional hall which cater for bigger event like wedding.

Lets get to the exciting part. 1st dish: Buddha Jumps Over the Wall. One word to description, Awesome! Sea Cucumber, Abalone,Dried scallop, Shark fin(in one piece) and chicken. Hence make the soup taste very nice.

2nd Dish:World Treasure Pot. Stuffed "Yau Tiu", Jelly fish, Stir fried vege with Sliced Abalone and Stuffed bean curd.

3rd Dish:Bronze Metal Dong Poh Pork. Eat perfectly together with the "Man Tao". The pork taste a bit like "Char Siu" but more tasty as all the gravy absorb inside the pork.

4th Dish: Fish cook in Special Sauce. The fish is steam with sour vegetable(Mui Choy) + some Mexican chillies in it. If you love spicy food, there are plenty of soup for you to drink. The fish is really fresh.

5th dish: Hapiness Prawn. Minced prawns covered with shredded "won-ton" skin. Taste a bit like dim sum. In my opinion, I prefer to eat prawn as a whole piece and with shell attached.

6th dish: Braised Sea Cucumber with Fish Maw. Bean curd, vegetable, mushroom, sea cucumber and fish maw. After eating so many meat, this dish is definitely a must. I had few bad experiences with the Loh hon Chai where their bean curd smells funny. With this restaurant, everything is fresh and nice.

7th Dish:Sweet glutinous rice with yam. Yes, you here me right, it's sweet! Glutinous rice is surrounded by yam paste, taste a bit like moon cake lotus paste. On top of the glutinous rice is covered with ginkgo and kidney beans.

Last dish: Fish of Fortune. Look at the fish, is so lively swimming inside the longan ice. It's a jelly and make from dragon fruit. You can still bite the dragon fruit small seeds inside the jelly. Very refreshing drink.

Finally, how can a great dinner without some nice wine. :) The whole set cost around RM688++.

I would definitely come back to this restaurant with my family. With the price and quality of the food, I will give 8/10.

Happy merdeka Day! Malaysia is now 51 years old, which means we have been independence for 51 years already. I feel this year atmosphere is not as strong as last few years. Remembered last year i still can see a lot of cars put a small Malaysian flag near their windows. This year, I only see one so far.

One more thing i notice this year is our Malaysian flag. Do we have a new flag? Back in my school time, I was taught this is our Malaysia Flag.

But I've been seeing a lot of this flag. All along federal highway. And the following is on my way up to Sunway Pyramid carpark.

The star is on the left and the moon is on the right? Someone please tell me, what's going on? Is that something that I don't know? Or Malaysian government has put up the wrong flag all over?

My family been a member of Berjaya Vacation Club(BVC) since 2000. BVC is using time sharing concept. Timeshare is a piece of property where it's ownership is shared by a number of people. Back then membership for executive is only RM10k(payback), now it increases to RM30k(non-payback). Here are some of the features of BVC executive membership.

I always been happy with BVC. I even got my free night at London. Until recently, I find it's very hard to reserve their hotel. I think i been rejected around 5-6 times this year for all my bookings. Only 1 reason, fully booked. I have to admit some is my mistake for submitting it late( 2 weeks before travel date), but some of it I submit earlier yet still being rejected. The one really pissed me off is my recent booking to Duxton, Singapore for my guest. Surprisingly, Duxton is not their home hotel even though it carries the name Berjaya Hotel. I submitted the booking on very early Aug, either 1st or 2nd. My first booking is 5-6th sept, second booking is 5th-7th sept. After 2 weeks, I called to check on the status, they told me for the second booking already rejected and they mailed to me. I wonder where did the mail went as I didnt receive any email from BVC. Then 1st booking, they told me still processing.

On 18th Aug, I called again, they told me still processing. 19th, called again, still processing, but they promise will get back to me. They even got my hp no. No reply on 19th. 20th I called again, promised to give me answer by evening. When i didn't hear from them at around 5.45pm, I called again, they told me will give confirmation on the next morning. Fine, I called in this morning, 21th, guess what, rejected.

I guess my request(1 month notice) may not have sufficient time for them to do the booking. Why can't they tell me earlier the booking is rejected. Now my guest has only 2 weeks to make another arrangement for hotel booking. It's his big day(Wedding day) and the room is for his guest. You know how frustrated it can be especially during your big day.

What's the point I get the 7 free nights but most of the time i can't fully utilize them? BVC should improve their service!!!

How to lose weight in a healthy way

The following post is base on my real story . It is for guideline and to help those who wants to lose weight healthly

I was fat throughout my elementary and high school due to my diet. During my elementary school, i ate 5 meals a day. Breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner and supper. My heaviest weight was 65kg when I was in US. My supper while I was in US can be really heavy like pork chop or steak. I enjoy eating all the time.

I didn't realized I was so big size till I came back Malaysia after my graduation. I can't fit in most of the sizes here. It's really frustrated to see those dress that you really like but couldn't fit in at all. Eventhough I manage to fit in but it's showing too much fleshes. Then it was the time that it hit me badly that i need to cut down my weight.

Back then, I tried slimming tea, chitosan....you name it. None of it work for me. Then I decide to slim down by using the cheapest method, exercise and diet.

I went swimming 2-3 times a week. Each time I will swim around 1 hour. I never skip any meals, but i will make sure that my meal portion is half than what I used to eat. The hardest part is the meal part as I always been a food lover. If I were being my old self, I can eat like a horse when comes to food that I like. Now I have to control myself only take a small portion. Initially, I always feel hungry. Then when i feel hungry, I will make myself a hot drink to drink.
Then one month later, it all pay off. I really saw the results. I lost 3 kg in the first month. Then second month, another 2 kg. The process start to slow down as time goes but I still maintain the same method. 2 years later, I was 52 kg and maintain it till my first pregnancy.

In short, it takes a lot of self-discipline and determination to lose weight with 0 cost. Once you see the result with your own eyes, you will start to believe in it and work harder for your goal. After a while, your appetide will get smaller and even eating smaller portion will satisfy you. I still can enjoy food I love and maintain the body weight.

Nothing is impossible. If I can do it, you can do it too.

1)Oh-Jien(Fried egg with olster) - Taste very nice.

2) Mutton fried with ginger and onion - The mutton smell is too strong for me. However, is depend on individual as my brother likes it a lot.

3) braised pork - Yummy yummy. Best to mix the gravy with rice.

4) sweet and sour pork - Nothing Special

5)ma poh tofu - Nice but a bit too spicy

6)3 cups chicken - One of the taiwanese specialty. I personally don’t really like it as I don’t like the basil taste

7)vegetable - Taste the worst

I would definitely visit this restaurant again. The workers are very friendly and the restaurant ambience is very cozy too. There's a Koi fish pond in front of their restaurant which opens up your appetide. They actually have another outlet at The Gardens, Mid Valley City. The one at Gardens serves more on Ala Carte food like rice and noodles. The food taste equally good.

McDonald Autocity has a new rule on their parking lots (Maybe this is not a new rules just I did not noticed on that). Anyone who parks their cars at their parking lots (even though you are their customers) for more than 2 hours, their tires will be clamped. Subsequently, you need to pay RM50 just to open the car clamp. They have displayed the notice regarding this and there will be no warning letter issue out even though you have done it on first time (no chance givenL).
McDonald Greenland has the same rule as well. If you park yr car more than certain period, you will be fined. However, this franchise will first issue the warning letter before clamp your tire (my friend has experienced it).
I heard from McD Autocity's staff that there is one more "private car park" in Butterworth which do not allow their customers to park their car more than 45 minutes. Else, your car’s tire will be clamped and you will be fined just to open the lock.
Thus, in future, while you park your car in any McD franchise, pls be aware on the sign board (it is hardly to be noticed due to the color tone and the landscaping around).
They did not have any standardization on this rule for all McD Franchises. Feedback already provided to their head quarter but there is no response from them.

When we went to Bukit Tinggi on 1st May, we wanted to eat at this restaurant for lunch, but it was packed with people. Then at night, we make second attempt, still packed with people. Since i wanted to try this restaurant ,we planned to wait. It was worth waiting, the food was really good. It's comparable with those italian restaurant in KL.

Me,Elaine, Yin San and Hiang was having our gathering at this restaurant at the curve yesterday.After having our venue changed so many times, we decided to settle at this restaurant due to the price and noneof us have tried this restaurant.

There are few dishes i would like to recommend.
1) Fried Nian Gao with XO Sauce. Compare with Dragon-I, their fried Nian Gao taste better.The texture also better.
2)Dumpling with lo mai gai. This is something very innovative. Unlike the normal dumpling which stuffed with minced pork, theirs stuffed with lo mai gai.
3)Clear soup noodle. The taste is not that nice, but the way to eat it is very special. They separate out the noodle and soup and you are suppose to dip the noodle inside the soup.

Too bad i didn't bring my digital cam to take down the photos. Eventhough they don't have much choices compare to Dragon-I, but i prefer it to Dragon because it taste better. Also they serve something different.

I've Passed My Exam

I’ve passed my CUTE(Computerized Unit Trust Exam) and i’m an official Unit Trust agent. After 1 week of sleepless night, finally i can take a break.
The exam reminds me of sitting final exam during University. The pressure is really high as i don’t want to waste my exam fees, RM247.50. Since this is a computerized test, everyone has a PC in front of them and sitting very near to each other. You can see other screen,however,you can’t cheat. The questions are different.
The most exciting part is click to finish. Upon clicking, your result will show directly on the screen. My heart was pounding so fast and hand were so cold. Thank God, I’ve made it.
A lot people are surprises that i took this exam. No special reason, i’m interested in knowing more about investment and i bought few fund from Public Mutual and the return are promising. Last but not least, wanted to make some side income.
